Helping Women In Culver

Starts With You

LIFT: Lending Inspirational Friendship Together

Our Mission is to support the advancement of women in the Culver area through mentorship by offering the LIFT membership’s collective knowledge, skills, and resources.

Our Organization

Established in 2011, LIFT is a group of Culver women working together to mentor and inspire local women seeking information, skills, and resources to improve their personal and professional lives. The members of LIFT are contributors to Marshall County Community Foundation’s LIFT Endowment Fund, which is designed to provide financial assistance in fulfilling LIFT’s mission. Complete a LIFT Membership application form to learn more about becoming a mentor.

Need A LIFT Up?

Please Note: We are a group of volunteers. We are unable to offer emergency or urgent assistance.

  • LIFT is a mentorship program that aims to help local women discover their own purpose, strengths, and goals. LIFT guides women to identify and implement their action plans. LIFT members have a variety of professional talents and community service interests to share with mentees.

  • LIFT Mentors help Culver women with:

    *Financial Planning/Budgeting

    *Mentorship

    *Empowerment and Encouragement

    *Developing a business plan

    *Developing career and professional goals

*Connecting to existing, local resources such as food, housing, rental assistance, and transportation

    *Job search and interview preparation

    *Resume building (CV)

  • We are a small group of volunteers. We are unable to offer:

    *Urgent or emergency financial assistance

    *Provide housing

    *Provide legal counsel

    *Give money directly to mentees

In cases where we may not be able to offer assistance directly, we connect LIFT mentees with existing resources that can.

  • The first step to becoming a LIFT mentee is to complete our initial application. If accepted into the LIFT mentorship program, the mentee will agree to a statement of commitment to ongoing mentorship from a LIFT mentor.
